Abstract
Adaptation and story have been addressed in innumerable works. Transmedia can be used as another approach to adaptation. Transmedia storytelling builds a narra uve universe through different media: cinema, theater, video games, comics, etc., and each story expands or complements the universal narrative, where the way of narrating changes from one language to another. Adaptations can also be transmedia storytelling, according to Carlos Scolari (Rodríguez-Ferrándiz and Tur-Viñes, 2015, p. 12). For example, The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien adapted from literature to cinema, where the same is essentially narrated, but the story takes a different form according to the médium where it adapts and by the narrator's visión. Unlike transmedia storytelling, where story expands or adapts, the adaptation of narrative elements between different media is proposed and exposed, with the transmediation approach or transmedia perspective.
