About the Journal

Hombre y Desierto. An Intercultural Perspective (Print ISSN: 0716-5897 / Online ISSN: 2810-7195) is a semiannual publication issued by the Institute of Anthropological Research (IIA), part of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities at the University of Antofagasta, Chile. It is devoted to disseminating original, unpublished articles, essays, interviews, and reviews from across the social sciences, humanities, and cultural studies, with a common focus on northern Chile. The journal accepts submissions in Spanish and English, which are first assessed by the Editorial Committee and then sent for external evaluation under a double-blind peer-review system.
